I was born and raised in the state of Nevada and, more specifically, in the areas of Las Vegas and Henderson. Regardless of what people say about Las Vegas, Nevada, I liked growing up here. Henderson may be a decent place to live, but it has had its ups and downs. Weather and accessibility were the biggest downfalls of growing up in Las Vegas. The melting pot of cultures and community are what makes me value my childhood experiences.

Being a 24-hour city still has its limitations, though. Most of the entertainment in Vegas is age restricted, making it somewhat hard to find a kid friendly place. It is true that Nevada is the worst state for education. The terrible education level must not have affected me that much, because I passed all my classes. High school was a struggle from time to time, but it was never too hard or impossible. At a young age, I was surrounded by people of all colors and cultures. This was a great way for me to understand people and to learn to work and communicate with strangers.
