As, I lay in my warm cozy bed listening to the hammering sound coming from the other room. I thought to myself that it could only be one of two things. My grandmother was hanging pictures on the wall or she was nailing my brothers bedroom window shut, which she warned him would happen the very next time he went out of it. My brother felt that a ten o'clock curfew was too early. Besides he was a responsible sixteen year old young man. Made good grades in school and was never in any trouble until it came to coming in the house by ten o'clock.

voice. When was the last time you seen or talked to your brother? He was in his bedroom about an hour ago I replied. Which was about out eleven o'clock? Without another word being spoke she turned off the light and closed the door. Right away I knew what the loud hammering noise was. Mt grandmother had worn my brother not to leave the house after curfew. He figured if he came in by ten then he could leave out of the window and granny would never find out.
I feel asleep waiting and wondering what time will he return home. What will he do when he discovers that he can't get back in the way in which he left out? Would he knock on my window or will he just enter through the front door and face the consequences for being disobedient. What will his punishment consist of? How or what could I do to help.
