Some will choose the righteous path
While others will fall to the temptations of the wicked.
For without a focus and direction you will easily fall to the next temptation.
Some of us drink more than we should
Some of us take medications and drugs we should ingest
The type of addiction one falls victim to is not the point
The common thread here is they each have an addiction
The ingredients of each addiction is different, but the flavor is the same
While it is true, there are places ready to help and people have successfully crushed the addiction;
Not every story ends like a fairy tale.
The reality of the matter is addiction is a very powerful, negative spirit
Capable of taking over and controlling one's life
Deciding every decision and predicting every move for the rest of their life
Often times driving an irremovable wedge
Shutting off the outside world, with no hope of return
Slowly and painfully the addiction kills off every portion
