imagination. The meaning of poetry is to give the reader a chance to use their imagination and figure out the purpose. It also gives the writer a chance to express his feelings the way he desires to. Poetry’s meaning all depends on the purpose that the writer is trying to get across. Every reader can interpret a meaning of literature differently.

There are many different styles and types of poetry. Not all poetry is written, some are formed to make songs that we hear on the radio. Have you ever had that moment where you tried to figure out the meaning or story in a song?? That style of poetry is called lyric.
