Interestingly, the central role that "organizing" plays in critical thinking is evidenced by the very fact the human brain itself seems to be programmed to receive, store, retrieve, process, and interpret sensory data (p.120). This indicates that the human brain has an innate ability to reason or create order out of all the available data. Similarly, it is apparent that there is a natural order to the universe as well, which assists the human mind to learn and reproduce patterns of order that exist around it (p.119). Thus, it is evident that the origins of order are to be found in Nature itself, thereby implying that the organizing principle is a fundamental building block of the universe.
