Rosa Parks, born to a community where segregation was practiced, where people were looked down upon for the color of their skin, changed the perception of equality and became a great advocate of the civil rights movement. The one action that she did, refusing to move to a different seat on the Montgomery Bus for a white man, challenged all the segregation laws at the time and gave rise to many successful civil rights movements.
