PPE

All employees who sort the laundry before it is washed are exposed to the most hazardous environments in the building. They are constantly faced with laundry that could have needles and other objects that could potentially poke them and potentially inject them. For this reason, every employee working in the dirty laundry room (any employees sorting laundry) with soiled laundry must adhere to the PPE and First Aid sections of this standard. Employees are required to thoroughly wash hands every time gloves come off or they leave the dirty laundry room.
