Many individuals oppose same sex marriages on the bases that same sex marriage is against tradition, religious grounds and parenting concerns. Different groups have different attitudes towards the idea of same-sex marriage, for example Caucasians are more accepting of it where as African Americans are less likely to encourage same sex marriage. Although heterosexual marriages are much more likely to end in divorce, the fact that both marriages are capable of the same things gives us evidence that they should be treated and compared the same.
