Who really wants to wake up every morning wearing the same clothes to school?! I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t want to do that. I think school uniforms may hide self expression through clothing, forcing teenagers to find other ways to put across who they really are. Teens (girls) who wear school uniforms are more likely to use makeup early, and it may resort to extreme accessories or to alter their uniforms to differentiate themselves from others. Self expression and individuality is important to a child's development. Wearing school uniforms may teach children that it’s OK to adapt to standards, even if you don't agree with them. The only thing that will cut down on school violence is if parents would pay attention to their children and keep their children out of trouble and give them consequences when they disobey and not to let them run wild.
