He settled himself down and took from his worn brown leather book bag a stack of paper, which appeared to be the class syllabus. When the clock pointed at 8:10am, he passed out the syllabus; I quickly skipped to the grading part of the syllabus, which read, "Grading: Quizzes - Quizzes are given at the beginning of nearly every class (in essay form), they will count for 75 percent of your grade.
