Both Zizek and the movie undoubtedly observe and describe the very same social phenomenon, deriving, however, from completely different points of view. This phenomenon is, therefore, reflected through their own and very different prisms - in the imagination of P.D. James it takes the form of a splendid dystopian novel whereas for the Slovenian psychoanalytic and leftist philosopher it holds mainly a political message ”packed” as psychoanalytical diagnosis of our society.
