Unlike Palladius, Patrick is well known for his work and contribution to Ireland. Patrick has left behind two writings, the Confesssio(declaration) and the Epistola(letter). The annals record Patrick's arrival to Ireland in 432. Therefore, suggesting that Palladius did arrive before Patrick. Unfortunately the Anals were written in the sixth century, that contained details and information that happened fifty to five hundred years before hand therefore the Anals are completely unreliable. However, there are many reasons why we should believe that Patrick arrived in Ireland early in the fifth century.
