In our society, each culture’s stereotypes of certain groups, such as women, minorities, students, and southerners are perceived different. These perceptions are often based on race, sex, the way a person looks and acts, ect. For example, blacks are often perceived differently than whites because of their skin. Southerners are perceived by the way they talk and students at a certain school often see each other in the way they look, act and what type of clothes they wear.

In addition, there are many prejudiced people in the world today. Being prejudiced means having a certain attitude towards a certain group that leads to evaluate members of that group negatively. A prejudiced persons thoughts often differs from an unprejudiced persons in that they have different beliefs in a person. Someone who is prejudiced sees a group for what kind of person they are and how they behave, such as the type of music they listen to, the color of their skin, the type of clothes they wear, their religion, what they look like, ect. On the other hand, an unprejudiced person perceives a certain group differently. These are the people who usually don’t care what a person looks like or what they believe.
