As an American citizen who has become tired of your sordid personal affairs and the effect it has had on the Office of the President, I want to extend my opinion and criticism of your speech last night.
First off, I would like to state that it is embarrassing to me as a citizen of this fine Nation to see my President, a man I should be able to proudly look up to and have my children look up to, on national television having to apologize for not being able to tell the truth to the citizens who voted for him. Not once did you use the term "sexual relationship" when referring to your interactions with Ms. Lewinsky. You admitted to an inappropriate and wrong relationship, but what was the nature of this relationship? I am not asking to hear salacious details, but I, as an American citizen, deserve the truth. Is this another example of you not volunteering information?

Then, to attack the investigation of the independent counsel shows a pure cowardice on your part. Rather than taking responsibility for your actions, the way I’d teach my kids to, you simply attack the man who your Administration (through Janet Reno as your appointed Attorney General) appointed.
