To make food coloring dye combine one tablespoon of food coloring with two tablespoons of white vinegar in a mug or jar large enough to hold one egg. Fill with cold water and stir. Drop the egg in the dye. From past experience the longer left in dye the deeper the color will be. Experiment with different combinations of colors like red mixed with blue makes purple, or yellow with a drop of red makes orange. When the egg is removed from the dye pat dry with a paper towel.
Other creative ways to decorate the eggs can be with crayon, elastic band art, painting, and sponge painting. Natural dyes are another creative idea. Turmeric or saffron makes a pretty bright yellow.
