merely known as 124 was anything but ordinary. It was possesed by the spirit of a murdered child of a former slave. The ghost shattered mirrors and stepped in cake icing to make its presence felt and life difficult for Sethe and her daughter Denver. Sethe is a former slave who flees to the north to escape her horrible past, although she did not know that the past would soon resurface to haunt her.
