I personally think music is a necessity in life, wouldn't you say so? Sure, some artists are annoying and probably earn too big a salary just for a good voice, but we all have our opinions. When you look at how that music actually reaches your ear, well that's where you find the music industry. man like my granddad for instance, could now listen to enjoyable music. It didn't stop there though, the power of radio allowed unknown bands to become popular on a nationwide and sometimes worldwide scale.

Technology took a bad turn on the music industry after the radio when tape recording had been invented because at first the sound quality was unbearably slow, so a quick tune would've taken hours to listen to. However, the music industry had its silver lining and you could say tape recordings became one of the most important changes made. Recording became cheaper, more portable, and facilitated access to the use of recording technologies. This lead to a growth in the number of independent studios in the 1950s and 60s. Later, the first prerecorded music cassettes were finally released in 1965 but consisted only of 49 titles.
