The Mystical Sea


Like people, reveals its moods in many forms. The sea shows beauty and tranquillity, but also shows power and rage at times . Both dispositions intrigue the human mind and cause inquiry into the spirit of the sea. The thought of calm tides rushing against the sand, the pastel colors of turquoise, pink and purple in unison with the setting sun, and the sounds of the sea gulls screeching in the wind, truly seems celestial. However, the one-hundred mile an hour winds, pounding rains and colossal tidal waves during a hurricane reminds one about the chaos the sea creates, and to respect the powers the sea possesses.

Although the sea can intrigue and inspire people, it can also instill and command fear and respect. Hurricanes can produce chaotic winds, rain, and waves, each powerful enough to destroy creations, both man-made and heavenly. Ferocious hundred mile an hour winds have the capability to rip trees from their stronghold in the ground, and cave in buildings constructed of concrete. The sea does not appear so interesting and peaceful when nature destroys man's hard work in a matter of a few minutes. It uses this destruction to reveal its vigor and gain respect from those who do not comprehend the might of the sea.
