watched us play all through junior high and high school. Having done that they knew who should be playing and where they should play. So during the summer I got a lot of playing time. While getting all that time my dad would always tell me to make big plays because many times the high school coaches would come watch. He said that if I made those plays I would hopefully open their eyes to my playing ability and knowledge of the game. I felt good about all the plays I made and the impacts I made each game at the end of the summer. Each night before I would go to bed I would pray that I impressed my coaches, increasing my chances of either starting or being in the game time rotation.
The biggest factor of my feeling that I would not get any playing time was my size. As a junior in high school I was about five feet eight inches and close to one-hundred forty pounds.
