There was a raw, putrid smell lingering in the air. To any Man, this same smell would mean death, but to an orc, it meant food. The Chieftain poured the gruesome, foul-smelling maggots onto a long wooden table, with hundreds of orcs licking their blackened lips in anticipation. The candles in the huge assembly hall flickered with the harsh winds outside. A gruff, beaten man crouched against a cold stone pillar outside the hall. His hand far too often strayed to the hilt of his sword; he was on his guard, and was prepared to slay anyone or anything that approached him. Two weeks ago, an Elven patrol had been slaughtered. They would soon be at the gates of New Orthas. This was the first time Bob had taken the offensive, trying to take over the Ohm Lands. Youesay’s chief advisors had turned to the top soldier of the military, Galethor Ironheart. On a dark, grim day while sharpening his weapons in the forge, he was approached by two stone-faced men in regal attire.
“Sir, as you know, Bob’s army is fast approaching. Youesay and New Orthas are rapidly trying to prepare for the inevitable conflict. We know how we must prepare. But now, we must know how they have prepared. You and ten other top soldiers will sneak around the front lines, and gather intelligence about Bob’s great Orc army. We will be depending on you and the fate of Ohm will rest on your shoulders.”

Kill him!” He heard this cry pierce the silence. Galethor ran for the cover of the burnt trees in the distance, and heard arrows sing near him. Just before he rounded a corner, a stinging pain struck his leg. “Ahhh!” he cringed. Dragon venom arrow, he thought, as it was a pain he knew all too well from his military career.“He fell over in a cold numbness. “Bring him in! Let’s give him a proper orc welcome!”
