The Wolf


All living wolves belong to a single species called Canis Lupus.
There are approximately 41 different wild species in the dog family. The
largest of which is the gray wolf, also known as the timber wolf. Of all
animals, is the most misunderstood, feared and hunted by humans.
The size of can vary with geographic locality. Adults range from
about 127 to164 cm (5 to 6.5 ft) from nose to tip of the tail, from 65
to90cm (26to36 in) high at the shoulders, and from 18 to 80 kg (40 to 175
lb.) in weight. The colors of the wolf can be many kinds of combination of

mountains. At one time wolves lived mostly in the northern hemisphere in
the arctic and in many other places. They may also be seen in places like
Asia, eastern Europe, northern Africa and many other places that seem
