The mice are robotic, they have mustached runners to clean the carpet and steel jaws to clean up everything that invades the house. The dog comes home around twelve noon to an empty house looking for the McClellan family to feed it, it runs around looking for the family but they are gone. It is starving and probably dying from radiation poisoning. It dies outside of the kitchen door waiting to be fed. In about an hour after the dog dies, the angry mice with their eyes glowing red revel, themselves from the walls of the house to clean up the mess.
