Thomas Aquinas is one of the greatest theologian thinkers in history, exploring new and innovative ways of making sense of how everything came to be. There is somewhat of an earthly, organic nature to his thinking, suggesting that there are ways of proving God’s existence. Human intuition is very powerful, and according to Aquinas, is seen as a tool we are all given to help us reach conclusions about concepts beyond our understanding.
Aquinas’ philosophies include various explanations for the existence of everything, but there are only a few specific ways to prove God’s existence that make sense in our natural world. One reason is that all things are moved, and whatever is moved has to have been moved by something or someone. This is Aquinas’ idea of the initial mover.
