Trespasser: Computer Game Review

One of the most extraordinary games I have seen is Trespasser. From it’s stunning graphics to its haunting sounds Trespasser is the game to have. Trespassers story line comes from the aftermath of The Lost World: Jurassic Park. The story places you in the role of Anne, a castaway who must find a means of survival after landing upon "Site B" - the setting of The Lost World. Those who have seen Trespasser in action already know the story isn't the focus; it's the technology and gameplay. Along with Trespassers scenic background of lush jungle, lurks danger such as Raptor, T-Rex, and stegosaurus.

Working with the realistic physics is a real time sound system based on your character's actual manipulation of the environment. Sounds are generated based on composition, structure, and velocity of two objects colliding. What this means is that if you throw a rock and hit a barrel, it will sound different than if the same rock hit a tree. The sound is top-notch, with great ambient sound effects, and effective dinosaur sounds, most coming quite close to what the movies had. The music kicks in at certain times and is a compelling score similar to breathtaking scenes from the movies, that adds effectiveness in displaying importance to certain areas.
