the unrealistic perspective of Larry. When the father says, "That damn child! Doesn't he ever sleep?" shows an indifference and selfishness that would make him sound cold and uncaring for others. However, we must remember the perspective eof the story. This uncaring nature appears to surface again after Sonny is born when he says, "If another bloody baby comes into this house, I'm going out."
