Imagine yourself.

The ball is served over.

Your teammates pass, set, and push it over due to an unsuccessful set. You wait to block. They set up outside. You transition back to get the dig. When the ball comes down, you stick your arms out and get under the ball. It goes up in the air, straight to seven where the setter is standing. The pass is high, but not too high. Perfect. You transition out wide, and raise your left hand to call for the ball. You yell, "one one one!!!" and the setter yells "one!". You see the ball cradle in the setters hands and she pushes it up and out. A perfect set. You watch the ball raise with no spin, and as it reaches it's highest point, you go. You take ...

slightly bent. Your left arm and hand is straight out in front of you to guide the ball. As the ball comes in sight, you guide your hands with your hips and turn. You reach up with your right arm, contacting the ball as high as you can. Your palm slaps the Mikasa logo on the ball, and you hear the pop. As you contact the ball, you snap your wrist towards the left back corner and the ball spins down. As you land in the same spot you jumped from, you hear the sound of footsteps running towards the ball you just hit. The sound of skin sliding across the floor is heard, and the ball hits the floor. As everyone looks up, you see the line judge's flag pointed down to the ground. The crowd goes wild, as you run to your team and you all come together. Your coach is heard yelling and clapping from the sideline with the rest of your team. You all smile, then break.
