Cinderella is a classic all children grow up watching, at least once. Like any classic, there are many different versions, some better than others. The Grimm Brother's is the most complete version while Walt Disney's version of Cinderella is probably one of the most famous. As with most other Disney movies, Cinderella is a musical featuring songs such as "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes" and "Bibidi Bobidi Boo!"[2] The supporting cast consists of mice, a cat, and birds, all of which help the film ooze with charm. Cinderella is filled with comical quips and heart breaking disappointment, but not without the happy-go-lucky feeling that accompanies all Disney productions. It is a timeless classic and will be remembered for years to come.
Perrault's version portrays Cinderella as all good just sugary sweet.[3] Cinderella is always cheerful and proper and polite. Once she marries the prince and she then sets her mean stepsisters up with grand lords as husbands.[4] His version portrays the stepmother as evil from her wedding to Cinderella's father on whereas Disney has her reveal her true colors only after Cinderella's father has passed away.
