The war on drugs has been an important fight in the United States for a long time now, and to this day, it's one of the top reasons people are incarcerated for the crime of illegal drug use. In a TED talk video, a man named Nathan Nadlemann spoke extensively on the hypocrisy of the drug war and how unreasoning it was to keep these substances illegal (Nadlemann).
