their growth. This leads to a depletion of oxygen as the decomposition process occurs. A lack of oxygen can kill aquatic organisms. As the aquatic organisms die, they are broken down by decomposers which lead to further depletion of the oxygen levels. When eutrophication becomes extreme the water isn't usable any more. To stop the eutrophication of our lakes we need to devise a better system to treat sewage so it can be reused or released back into the environment without a catastrophic reaction. Mike Adams a health advocate says “I advise everyone to avoid drinking water from the tap, no matter how clean the city claims it to be,” after realizing that the pipes that are hooked to the sinks of our homes are iron pipes which over time have rusted and are contaminated with many diseases from the ground drinking from the tap is definitely not safe.
