Ebola is spread from mostly by means of close contact with an infected person and can also be tranfered through sexual contact. People who are lucky enough to survive the disease usually pose no threat of infection to others.
Marburg is just as deadly as ebola, but is less widespread. Marburg causes hemmoragic siesures in the body, as does Ebola and also like Ebola, the virus only occurs in Africa. Marburg outbreaks have occurred in Uganda, Zimbabwe, south Africa and Kenya. Marburg and Ebola are both members of a group of viruses which are called Filoviruses. These viruses all cause hemmoragic fevers and are very similar in structure.

Since 1970, the year preceeding the first Marburg attack and five years before the first Ebola outbreak, .9 billion hectacres of the earths forests have been destroyed.
