· To a certain extent the election system or process in Canada is not democratic because in order to vote, you must be at least 18 years of age and must be a resident in Canada. Therefore, it is not fair enough to other people like landed immigrants. For instance, I’m over the requirement age, but I’m not a resident, therefore I cannot vote.
· Rules that work for the big parties are made up by the big parties for their own good.

· On the other hand, the election system or process in Canada is democratic because the citizens have the choice to vote for their parties. No one will force the citizens to vote, it is not compulsory, only if the citizens like to vote.
· The election system or process is democratic because whoever has the most ridings win the election.
· In Canada, elections are the primary mechanisms for recruiting political leaders and representatives. Therefore, through the democratic election, the citizens could choose the governors who really have the ability, and who really like to work for them.
