The Catcher In The Rye is a novel written by J.D Salinger in 1951. The book revolves around a teenager named Holden Caulfield who has trouble “fitting in” with society. Holden starts off his journey with an emotional loss, followed by a period of awkwardness, which culminates in a “setting forth” on a journey alone.
