2. Choice of Research Topic

As one who has suffered from eating disorder resulting from skipping meals too frequently, I am interested at people's eating habits. It is during university years that many individuals take responsibility for matters of health and lifestyle choices which have the potential to form the foundation for future health or illness (Michael, Bhibha, Ellen, & Rod, 2014). Empirical data shows a higher rate of unhealthy lifestyle in university students (U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, 2008). And I have observed that many HKU students skipping meals when I interacted with them. So finding out why they skip meals can certainly contribute to the health promotion. Not only does this research have practical significance, it is theoretically important as well.
