These cells “have the potential to act as repair systems for replacement of damaged cells,” (Eve). The stem cells extracted would eventually develop into a living being. “The embryonic stem cell is believed by many scientists to be the most useful for potential medical treatments;” however, “its use is restricted by federal legislation,” (Eve). The restrictions by federal legislation are not the only thing which continually holds embryonic stem cell research form moving forward.
