A Letter to God is a fiction work penned by Gregorio Lopez y Fuentes. The short story narrates the resolve of Lencho, a Mexican farmer, to be able to provide for the needs of his family after they have experienced a hailstorm which destroyed their crops, their source of livelihood. Desperate after the tragedy, Lencho sends a letter to God via mail. This act perplexes the postmaster not because of the illiteracy of the planter but because of the great faith the latter has.
