Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to inform on the topic of treating endometriosis by homeopathic remedies. It is also to emphasize the importance of stress reduction and knowing your own body well enough to be able to recognize changes and the effectiveness of treatments. This paper goes over several treatment options ranging from surgical procedures and exercise to diet change and supplements in the aiding of recovery and even the prevention of symptomatic pain and worsening of the disease.

Endometriosis has a plethora of symptoms ranging from IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and infertility, painful intercourse and urination, and unfortunately sever or even fatal organ injury. Enough can be deduced by the name alone. Endometriosis: an abnormality in the lining of the uterus (endometrial tissue). This blood rich tissue lines the uterus for 25-28 days to prepare for the fertilization of an egg. In the case of someone with this particular condition, this tissue can not only form inside the uterus, but outside and on neighboring organs causing pain or dysfunction. Diagnosing this problem is not as simple as it seems, though the determination can be made (though not with certainty) by an ultrasound as some of the adhesions or cyst can be extreme enough or thick enough to produce an image.
