Background

There are many issues that affect health care in our country. Many unethical practices have occurred and continue to occur in our system. There are many policies and acts governing the health care system and these need to be properly exercised in our setting to ensure better patient satisfaction and outcome. The Health Care Consent Act, the Patient's Bill of Rights, the Code of Ethics and individual hospital policies all play a role in guiding effective decision making when used appropriately.
