Horatio is only a secondary character in the play "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare, but his character plays a vital role in confirming the murder/killing of Hamlet's father's death and helping out Hamlet to device and plan out a 'trap' that will confirm both Claudius and Gertrude's guilt in killing King Hamlet.
