The Disney film was designed and made for a children audience, but is there more behind this romantic fairy tale that meets the eye?

The Disney film of Beauty and the Beast was released in the fall of 1991 directed by Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise. Who are both well known for their films such as The Lion King, The Huntchedback of Notre Dame and other Disney classics. The film was nominated for best animated picture that year clearly portraying how well this film had done in the process. The film captured the hearts of children through the Walt Disney's happy genre of animation when really this tale goes back further with history and meaning. The original tale was created by the French writer Madame Gabrielle-Suzanne de in 1740. She was part of the second wave of French fairy tale writers.
