COPD

COPD is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. COPD is a disease of the lung that blocks the air flow and it is difficult to breathe. Emphysema and chronic bronchitis are the two most common conditions of COPD. Emphysema is when the sacs at the end of the small air passage in the lungs and they become destroyed. Chronic bronchitis is inflamed lining of the bronchial tubes, they carry the air to and from the lungs.

for COPD are exposure to tobacco smoke. The longer you smoke and the more packs you smoke, the greater risk you have of getting COPD. Smokers with asthma are at risk, because they have chronic airway disease and smoking will increase the risk of COPD. If you are exposed to chemical fumes, dust, and vapors are at risk.
