Are Needs Of Older People Adequately Catered For? What Could Be Done To Improve Care For The Elderly?

Unfortunately, the short answer is no, they arenā€™t properly catered for. Even though living to ripe old age may seem nice, it brings a large number of problems that we have yet to deal with. In order to give my suggestions on what can be done to improve care for the elderly, I need to name the main problems they face. One of the problems is the burden of financing care for elderly is falling on a reduced percentage of the population. dental and eye care as well as to learning previous environments of the elderly so we know what to be aware of the most. If there is a cultural gap, we need to be aware of it as well by asking and staying curious.

Next, OAPs may face some legal problems due to deception or lack of knowledge and it can be fatal to cash-strapped pensioners. They find it difficult to understand the legal jargon in these confusing letters. We need to prevent such situations by taking care of their business while they canā€™t, so they arenā€™t issued with summons and hounded for cash after returning from care, or if such problem already happened, provide them with legal professionals to help in court.

And last but not least, the elderly are probably the loneliest ones. Solution here is simple ā€“ surrounding them with our unconditional love and bridging all the gaps we have for successful communication.
