Dangers of Underage Drinking

There are many dangers to underage drinking and all of these reasons end up in a lose lose situation. The younger you are when you start drinking, the greater your chances of becoming addicted to alcohol at some point in your life. More than 4 out of 10 people who begin drinking before age 15 eventually become an alcoholic. Underage alcohol use kills more young people than all other illegal drugs combined. The dangers are not just from drunk driving. Teens can consume dangerous levels of alcohol before they recognize it's time to stop, leading to alcohol poisoning and or death. removed for driving with any trace of alcohol in the body, losing a job, and losing a college scholarship. Drinking doesn't just hurt you. Your night of "fun" can can come at the expense of others. We have all heard about tragic deaths caused by drunk drivers. When you are sober, you might think you would never be stupid enough to drive under the influence. When you are intoxicated, a false sense of invincibility may convince you otherwise. If you are caught, it can have a serious impact on your future. Colleges can rescind their admittances if they believe you are no longer fit to be a student. Furthermore, breaking the law reflects poorly on one's character. Current and future employers will not look kindly upon someone who has previously been arrested.
