As a teenage I feel I know the most on the subject, but as I have found out my parents had to make the same decision during their life, even as hard as it is to believe they did.

Solutions are like excuses they come in hundreds. People today blame everything on something else. Well I hate to be the one to point out the obvious, but parents are the biggest influence on a child's life. If you as a parent sit down and talk rationally to a kid, he will listen. My solution is simple eliminate the drinking age all together. I feel it is the parent's responsibility to educate their kids on drugs like alcohol, not the governments. I have a friend who was a foreign exchage student from Switzerland, where there is no drinking age, she looked at drinking as a normal thing, but she also said they don't have this problem over there as kids know they can always get it the don't drink as often.
