What do you think off when you hear the word Egypt? Dry desert? Well Egypt is a lot more than that, let me tell you about it.
Egypt is located in the northeastern corner of Africa. It is surrounded by the Red Sea, Sudan, Jordan, and Libya.
Egypts major river is the Nile. It runs 4,130 miles through Egypt. West of the Nile is the Western Desert. If you think Egypt is high you're wrong. It only gets 8,655 feet at Jebel Katherina.
The Western Desert is one of the worlds driest areas. The Nile floods about twice a year. It usually happens in August. The major lake in Egypt is the Nasser. The most rainfall Egypt gets in a year is in Alexandria, it gets about 7.4 inches a year. Cairo gets ...

Most people think that the camel came from Egypt but it did not. There have been reports of ostrostriches in Egypt but none have been confirmed.

3,000 years before the birth of Crist the Egyptians had a goverment, built pyrmids and knew how to write. They were also very religious. One of the things that they beleived in was life after death. Before then, in the prehisoric era, Egypt had rain and a lot of grasslands. Then the Egyptians hunted with either a bow and arrow, an ax or both. The arrows were made of flint. Gradually the rains decreased and the lands dried up. The animals went to where water was still flowing, along the Nile. The Egyptians fallowed then and settled along the Nile. The first writing in Egypt goes back to 3100B.C.

Education in Egypt is free. It is paid for by the goverment. law in Egypt says that children between the ages of 6 and 15 must go to school. The school system goes like this. 6 years of primary school. 3 years of preporatory school. 3 ...
