Some symptoms to watch out for are pain in the lower back, abdomen or legs, severe vomiting and diarrhea leading to dehydration, low blood pressure, and loss of conscious and high potassium with low sodium.
Causes of Addison's disease is when the adrenal glands which are located above the kidneys are damaged and do not produce the hormones that are essential to life. There are two types of adrenal insufficiency. The first on is called primary adrenal insufficiency and the other is called the secondary adrenal insufficiency. The primary adrenal insufficiency happens when the outer layer of the gland called the cortex is damaged and does not make enough hormones.
