A policeman in the small town of Murphy, North Carolina May 31 apprehended Eric Rudolph, the suspect in a deadly bombing at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. Rudolph, 36, was also charged in three other bombing incidents in 1997 and 1998. He had evaded capture for five years despite an intensive federal manhunt in the mountains of western North Carolina that involved hundreds of agents and cost millions of dollars.
