It was around five in the morning when my brother Jamie and I are woken up by our parents. We knew this day was coming because we have been preparing for it for months. The process of leaving our country is difficult if you do not have the right documentation. My brother and I finally have our passports. I was eleven at the time and my brother was nine. My mom was married to her husband and he was the one taking us on vacation. My mother's name is Noemi Rosario and her husband name is Chuck Walsh. exciting our ear's pop and we chew gum to getting the ringing out of our ears. It takes us three hours to get to Puerto Rico from Tampa. Puerto Rico was our first stop to get on board for another flight to Dominican Republic. We waited in that airport for another two hours until our flight showed up again. This plane looked so wretched like it's been to war or nobody ever maintained or cleaned it. We had to walk on the airstrip just to get on our plane. Now that we're taking off again to get to our destination this plane had bad turbulence and at that the afternoon thunderstorm's we're rolling in that day. People got really scared and was even crying because they didn't think we would make it. My brother and just watched everybody and kept peeping out the airplane window to see everything. It only took one hour to get Dominican Republic from Puerto Rico but that whole day was stressful and tiring all we wanted to do was eat and get some rest when we got to the resort.
