of homeless people dramatically increased. It seems that the country hasn’t been able to pick itself back up after this.
There are several different categories that the homeless fall into. However, the single most-assumed category that most people classify the homeless into is the disgraceful homeless, or “bums”. Within this category is usually men between 40 and 50 years old who sit around and don’t do anything all day. They seem to not want to help themselves or others. They lie and cheat people out of giving them money so they can eat; meanwhile they go to the liquor store and buy alcohol. Since this type only makes up a small group of the homeless, it isn’t fair when people assume the worst when they see a homeless person. Sure, if someone personally has never been homeless, it may be difficult to understand as to why and how someone can get themselves into a homeless situation, but that should be more of a reason to not judge.
