Yet I write this letter to remind the government you lead of the crying out of the millions of Africans who still remain in dire humanitarian want and privation across that once and still great cultural landscape.
Africa still remains desperate for adequate medical supplies to fight the current AIDS crisis that afflicts the land of Africa. This crisis is acute in many African nations, but particularly in South Africa. ...

Secondly, I would also like to make an appeal for those who suffer terrible famine in Africa, as the result of border conflicts based on ethnic rivalries. The United States, through the United Nations, has a vital mediating role to play in nations such as Rwanda and the Sudan, a mediating role that can possibly heal some of the current tensions as well between the United States and the international community as a whole who feels that the U.S. has acted alone in too many of its international endeavors.
