Important Events In My Life

The earliest memory I have is the first day of kindergarten. I remember it clearly, because my family had just moved to Weedsport a month prior, so I was scared because I would not know anyone there. As I walked through the big iron doors in the front, I was sweating bullets and my heart was racing a mile a minute. I went downstairs to where I and a handful of other kids were supposed to wait until it was time for school.

As I went down there, I was greeted by two kind people, and quickly realized I was the only person of my age down in the center. I was quite intimidated at first, but I slowly warmed up to them and the other kids through my course of time there. The bell rang and I went ...

The next big event in my life happened about two years later, but would follow me for the rest of my life, and is the reason why I now go to this school. I was in second grade when this event occurred. It was the second Friday of the year; the first gym day of the year.

My friends and I were hanging out until the teacher took us to the gymnasium. We stretched and otherwise warmed up for a while. We would be doing races that day and were then paired up. If I had known what was going to happen that day, I would have pretended to be sick so I could avoid the experience in the nurse’s office until gym was over. I was up against a kid whose name escapes me as I write this memory to the reader.
